On April 16, 17 and 18, the worldwide trance community will be treated on a 72-hour trip into A State of Trance. Armin touches down in Germany, UK and Holland to celebrate the 400th episode of his beloved radioshow! Within eight years , the radioshow has grown out to be an understanding in today’s Dance scene and now has over 30 million listeners worldwide. This 400th edition will definitely be celebrated on a large scale. Listeners and fans will be able to experience the show for 72 hours, live from 3 different countries. The first broadcast will air live from Club Butan in Germany on Thursday April 16th, the second on Friday April 17th from Club Air in Birmingham, U.K., and the third and last one will be closed down in style on Saturday April 18th in one of Holland’s most refined clubs; The Maassilo in Rotterdam! Armin will personally appear at all locations thanks to the SEAT VIP service.
These three events perfectly represent the international character of the radioshow. During these nights, of course Armin himself will be dj’ing, but he also invited some of his colleagues to play there. For this special occasion, he asked the listeners of the show to vote for their favourite DJ’s, by opening an internet poll on his personal forum. Last week Armin revealed the confirmed names:
On 13th February 2009, PureSound is celebrating its second anniversary. To mark this special event, they are organizing a whole-weekend show at which over 80 DJ's will play their mixes on the radio. Some of the guests include Cosmic Gate, Andy Moor, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Airwave, Jon O Bir, Rank 1, Ernesto vs. Bastian and Menno de Jong, so make sure not to miss it!
After storming back into Sheffield towards the end of 2008, with the sell out 15th Birthday event and the infamous themed parties; Gatecrasher Red & Black and the festive White Party, Gatecrasher are back in 2009 with one colossal line up. The headline slot sees Sander Van Doorn returning after a long break behind the Gatecrasher decks. The Dutchman, who among many from the Netherlands is blessed with musical genius, has clocked up more hit records, dancefloor detroyers and sell out gigs than most DJs do in a lifetime. If you haven’t heard of ‘Grasshopper’, ‘King of my castle’ or ‘Riff’, tracks which have sent tidal waves throughout the scene, then you’re probably not in tune with dance music. His ethos is simple and that is to please every crowd he comes into contact with.
Marco V is next up, a guy often referred to by his peers as the DJ’s DJ, staying ahead of the game by mastering the ability to adapt to changing trends in the scene. On the decks he knows how to take complete control of the crowd, incorporating anything from fierce electro to driving techno and beyond. His studio work has seen him belt out more anthems than a national football team. From classics such as ‘Indicator’, ‘Simulated’ & ‘Godd’ to present day floorfillers such as ‘Second Bite’, ‘More than a Life away’ and ‘Red Blue Purple’, his discography is the envy of most.
Described by Paul van Dyk as one of the most exciting producers in the world today, John O’Callaghan is another addition to this already stella line up. Another DJ who has rapidly risen to fame through the ranks of the world’s DJ/Producer elite, he has firmly stamped his authority on the global trance community; emerging as one of the trance scenes leading talents and pushing the genre into new dimensions.
When Woody Van Eyden & Alex M.O.R.P.H crawl behind the decks together, you will find out what makes a Back to Back set so special. They bring the energy and flow for a whole army of artists. What Woody does, Alex does better. And after that, Woody tops him. This act goes on and on, track after track, bringing total euphoria to any dancefloor, putting the crowd under their magic spell.
Last but most certainly not least, Jon O’Bir has become one of the most highly regarded trance DJs on the planet. The Nottingham based nu-trance master’s sets are forward thinking, cutting edged, trance blessed journeys that have captivated crowds across the globe and will be back to captivate the Gatecrasher crowd after his long awaited return.
Room 2 will see Electrik Playground returning to host - Riley & Durrant’s new night which has gathered momentum in Leeds and tours last summer at Tiesto’s Privledge night in Ibiza. Electrik Playground’s resident, Adam Sheridan will be bringing his box of bleepy, electro tech filth for an excursion away from his usual tech trance sound. With James Dutton and Tim Weeks on hand to bring their special breed of underground toxicity, room 2 is set to go off with a bang.

Vibrasphere's 5th studio album out now... A decade in any music industry is no mean feat in any style of music - but in electronic music, it's a proverbial lifetime. Few acts can claim this feat at all, let alone claim ten years of success - but in the European summer this year, that is what Sweden's Vibrasphere have accomplished.
With their fifth and new album 'Lungs of Life' on Tribal Vision, Rickard Berlglof and Robert Eslter promise a maturation of their diverse sound and another step forward for this dynamic production duo.
The album features brand new studio material, from downtempo to progressive, techno and trance, including a very special collaboration with infamous Swedish project Ticon. There are also two exclusive remixes included - one by Canadian house/trance masters Glenn Morrison and Bruce Aisher and the other by French tech-house duo Solead.
